Quarantatremila concorrenti da novantasei paesi hanno partecipato al concorso "Wildlife photographer of the year" catturando istanti in cui la natura selvaggia e i suoi mondi lontani ci sembrano un po' più a portata di mano. Le foto saranno in mostra dal 22 novembre al 6 gennaio al museo civico di Zoologia di Roma, in via Ulisse Aldrovandi 18. Il concorso, indetto dal Natural History Museum di Londra in collaborazione con il Bbc Wildlife Magazine, premierà cento foto suddivise nelle diciotto categorie di gara. Il premio più ambito, quello appunto di "Wildlife photographer of the year", è stato assegnato al sudafricano Greg du Toit per la sua foto "Essence of Elephants".[/size]
